What is Accreditation ?

Accreditation is a review process to determine if educational programs meet defined standards of quality. Once achieved, accreditation is not permanent—it is renewed periodically to ensure that the quality of the educational program is maintained.

EPT Process for ABET

Approaching an accreditation for its teaching programs is one of the key strategies for the Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie (EPT) to keep its lead in the domain of engineering training in the nation. Approaching ABET as the a favorable accreditation option is mainly for the program review quality it ensures ; and basically for the continuous improvement process engaging all institution factors , from staff, faculty and graduates. In practical terms the 05 th December 2019 made the first step in the process of EPT pursuit for ABET via a meeting with Prof. Ramesh GAONKAR, Fulbright Specialist, where discussion started about the feasibility of ABET to EPT The 17 th January 2021 the redaction of the Readiness Review Report was launched effectively after a marathon of meetings, workshops and open days with local and international experts were organized to decide about the EPT objectives, the EPT- ABET committee and all the organizational processes.

EPT is submitting its Readiness Review Report by 1 st October 2021.
